Before the adidas Yeezy releases, Kanye West was with the Swoosh. The classic Nike Air Yeezy Collection was the first release from Kanye x Nike that included three iconic colorways.

After the long sampling process, three colorways of the Nike Air Yeezy were chosen to hit retail stores. The “Zen Grey” colorway was the first to debut on April 4th, 2009 and was the colorway that was created after almost equal input from Smith and West. A Black/Pink dubbed, “Blink” released on May 2nd, 2009. The third and last pair was the “Net” colorway that reflected more of Kanye West’s design tastes and released on June 1st, 2009. Each release had a suggested retail price tag of $250 USD and sold-out immediately.
