Nike Air Rift Returning in OG “Kenya” Colorway

Published on

Originally released in 1996, the Nike Air Rift was inspired by the barefoot style of Kenya’s distance runners. Its name is actually taken from the country’s Rift Valley, while the shoe’s split toe was inspired by the Great Rift Valley fault line. For 2023, Nike Sportswear will be bringing back the OG “Kenya” colorway.

Dressed in a Black, Forest Green, White, and Atom Red color scheme nodding to the colors of the Kenya flag. The shoe comes constructed with a textile mesh upper providing a stretch fit with its signature split-toe design. Other details includes two Velcro closures on the heel and midfoot. It features a Green base with Black overlays highlighted with Red contrasting accents on the insole and branded areas. A White midsole atop a Black rubber outsole completes the design.
