Halle Berry’s 2004 Air Rift Inspires The Nike Air Rift 2 “Yukon Tan”

A familiar color combination from one of the Air Rift’s more obscure collaborations is returning on the model’s newly revived sequel. Dressed in brown, orange and navy, this upcoming Air Rift 2 closely recalls the limited pair Nike created with Halle Berry in 2004.

Berry’s release arrived through the brand’s “Artist Series,” a collection that also featured projects with Stash and Eminem. Only 1,050 pairs were produced, making the brown suede and orange design a difficult find that has remained mostly known among longtime collectors.

The new Air Rift 2 is not billed as a collaboration or official tribute, but the connection is hard to miss. Yukon Tan covers much of the neoprene upper and matching sculpted sole, while Vivid Orange mesh appears through the split toe, tongue, lining and open heel. College Navy Swooshes add darker contrast across the forefoot, side and outsole.

Materials separate the two releases more clearly. Rather than revisiting the suede construction used in 2004, this pair keeps the Air Rift 2’s breathable mesh and neoprene build. Perforated side panels, open sections around the foot and the split-toe shape complete its sandal-inspired design.

The Nike Air Rift 2 “Yukon Tan/Vivid Orange” releases during Fall 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers for $125.
