Nike is leaning further into soccer for its 2026 Air Max lineup, this time giving the Air Max Mad 90 another look inspired by the Tiempo. The black and white color scheme is familiar, but this version goes beyond simply borrowing colors from the classic football boot.

Several parts of the Air Max 90 have been reworked to make the Tiempo connection more obvious. The quarter panel and mudguard stop short of the forefoot, leaving room for a slimmer black suede toe cap. Multiple rows of stitching run across the toe box as well, bringing in the quilted look often associated with older Tiempo models.

A black leather heel panel carries white embroidered “Nike Air” branding, while the rest of the shoe stays mostly dark. The midsole comes in black and sits above a light brown gum outsole. Volt Air units break things up underfoot, with the same bright shade appearing on the custom insoles alongside dark purple details on the tongue.

An Air Max 95 is also expected to join the pack with its own football-inspired changes. Its usual layered upper is reworked with padded leather and stitched sections, giving the shoe a construction that looks closer to a traditional soccer boot.

The Nike Air Max Premium Boot Pack, including the Tiempo-inspired Air Max Mad 90 and matching Air Max 95, is expected to release during Fall/Winter 2026 in men’s sizing.
