Nike Air Max Plus “Glascow” References the City’s Famous Traffic Cone

Published on

Glasgow’s rave scene and the traffic cone perched on its Duke of Wellington statue share space on the Nike Air Max Plus “Glasgow.” The Black and Safety Orange pair works both references into the design, with city-specific details on the tongues and heel Air units.

An orange gradient spreads across the breathable mesh beneath radiating lines, referencing Glasgow’s nightlife. That same orange points to the cone on the Wellington statue outside the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square.

Embroidered “Glasgow” lettering appears down the center of the tongues, backed by orange cone stitching on the reverse. The right tongue badge carries another cone graphic, while “Mad Wae It” lettering appears on the Tuned Air bubbles at the heel.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Glasgow” is expected to arrive through Nike’s UK website.
