Nike continues the dark gradient trend with its latest Air Max Plus that utilizes vibrant green hues to pop over an otherwise black upper.

Black mesh sets the base, with the Air Max Plus’ signature wavy TPU cage layered across the sides. The Illusion Green shade fades in through the side panels and heel areas, giving the shoe that familiar Air Max Plus glow without moving away from the darker look.

Glossy black detailing covers the toe cap, Swoosh, and overlay panels, while textured black sections around the mudguard and heel add some contrast to the build. The green also shows up in the visible Air units, midfoot shank, tongue badge, and select upper hits.

Yellow accents on the outsole and “Tn Air” branding give the pair a small retro touch. It is a fitting detail for a model that has always leaned into bold color blocking, visible cushioning, and late-’90s running style.

A black midsole completes the design, housing the Tuned Air cushioning that helped make the Air Max Plus one of Nike’s most recognizable Air Max silhouettes.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Black/Illusion Green” releases Summer 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers for $190.
