The Nike Air Max Foamdome “Eggplant” is coming back for Holiday 2026, returning 10 years after its last release in November 2016. Built for colder weather, the Foamdome combines a Foamposite-style molded shell with a heavier boot construction and visible Air Max cushioning underfoot.

Most of the upper is built around that molded Eggplant shell, with black leather wrapping the eyestay, toe, and collar. Black laces keep everything dark up top, while the midsole carries multiple visible Air units across the bottom. Purple also shows up through parts of the outsole, adding a little more color without changing the overall look too much.

What makes the Foamdome different is how much it borrows from Foamposite without really feeling like a basketball shoe. The shell has that same molded, almost armored look, but the higher cut, heavier build, and rugged sole push it much closer to a cold-weather ACG boot.

The “Eggplant” finish works especially well on this model because purple has been tied to Foamposite for years. On the Foamdome, though, that color lands on a much bulkier shape, giving it a darker and more rugged feel than the court models people usually associate with the name.

Nike Air Max Foamdome Eggplant 2026 Release Date

The Nike Air Max Foamdome “Eggplant” will release on November 5, 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers. The pair will be available in men’s sizing for $265.
