Nike Renames The Air Max 2000 The Air Max Ecstasy Plus

The Air Max 2000 is coming back in 2026, though it won’t be returning with the same name. Nike has renamed the model the Air Max Ecstasy Plus, a change that will carry across both inline colorways and the upcoming Supreme collaboration.

One of the first non-collaborative pairs to surface comes dressed in silver and black. Metallic silver takes over most of the upper, while black accents appear throughout the shoe and give the retro runner a look that stays close to its late-’90s roots. The shape and layered construction remain familiar, even with the updated name.

Supreme’s version was the first pair to introduce the Air Max Ecstasy Plus designation, which initially made it seem like the name could be tied specifically to that collaboration. That is no longer the case. The Air Max 2000 name is being replaced across the board as Nike prepares a wider return for the model.

The Nike Air Max Ecstasy Plus is expected to begin releasing during Holiday 2026, with more colorways scheduled to follow in Spring 2027.
