To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Air Max 98, Nike will be releasing a special edition “Chinese New Year” iteration of the silhouette to pay homage to its Chinese fanbase.
Having a similar pattern as the “Tianjin” Foamposites from 2015, this Nike Air Max 98 features lotus flowers and Chinese artwork on its upper. Below on the sides is a mix of some exotic materials like pony hair and snakeskin, while having Red patent leather detailing and Teal accents. Reflective racing stripe, Gold hits, speckled thick rope laces atop a White midsole and Black rubber outsole displaying praying hands completes the design.
