With Independence Day, a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, right around the corner, Nike Sportswear has started to reveal USA-themed colorways for the celebration. Part of the lineup includes Christian Tresser’s iconic Air Max 97.

Dressed in an Obsidian, University Red, and White nodding to the United States. This offering of the Nike Air Max 97 comes constructed in a mix of mesh and leather materials. It features a Navy Blue base with Red contrasting accents on the racing stripes, embroidered mini Swooshes, tongue, heel pull tab, insole and underfoot branding. 3M reflective detailing Off White mudguards and tongue labels atop a White midsole and Black rubber outsole completes the design.
