To release alongside the Air Max 95, Nike will also be releasing a playful “Kaomoji” edition of the Air Max 97 silhouette. Kaomoji is a popular Japanese emoticon style made up of Japanese characters and grammar punctuations used to express emotion in texting and cyber communication.

This edition of the Nike Air Max 97 features a White mesh upper with Reflect Silver, Black patent, and White leather overlays. Other details includes Purple inner lining and embroidered mini Swooshes, Volt and Blue contrasting accents throughout as well as on its Air support units atop a White midsole and Black rubber outsole. Finishing off the design are velcro Japanese emojis with speech bubble graphic insoles completes the design.

Nike Air Max 97 Kaomoji Release Date

Look for the Nike Air Max 97 “Kaomoji” to release in the coming weeks at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag has yet to be announced.
