Back in 2016 during the Rio De Janeiro Olympic Games, Edgar Cheung Ka-long became Hong Kong’s first gold medal fencer in the Men’s Individual Foil. To pay tribute to that moment, Nike has designed a special edition Air Max 97.

This offering of the Nike Air Max 97 sports a mix of Olive Green and Tan tones with Golden Swooshes. Some of the key details includes velcro tongue patches, his four word motto printed along the Air Max bubble, and a topographical map of Hong Kong’s tallest mountain peak, Tai Mo Shan, placed underneath its translucent outsole.

Already released at Nike Hong Kong, look for the Nike Air Max 97 “Cheung Ka Long” to possibly see a wider release in the states on Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $185 USD.
