Nike Air Max 95000 Pushes 3D Printing Into The Future

Published on

Nike is once again redefining innovation with the Air Max 95000, a futuristic leap for 3D-printed sneakers. Building on the success of the Air Max 1000, this next chapter continues the brand’s collaboration with Zellerfeld, merging digital manufacturing with Sergio Lozano’s Air Max 95 DNA.

The outlined aesthetics of the silhouette’s muscular lines take inspiration from the original 1995 model and have been reimagined as a fully 3D-printed lattice construction. Bold Black and Volt colorway calls back to the seminal “Volt” Air Max 95. The one-of-a-kind look combined performance tech with nostalgic design elements of the original. The upper and midsole were seamlessly printed from the same TPU material, with no glue or stitching required.

All eyes are on the Project Nectar outsole. Project Nectar is a flexible and durable outsole created to optimize performance in one piece. The outsole alone takes ten minutes to print, while the entire sneaker requires roughly two full days to complete, underscoring the complexity behind its design.

The Nike Air Max 95000 launches in limited quantities during ComplexCon’s Mad Stadium activation, with a wider Zellerfeld release on Black Friday, November 28th, priced at $250 USD.

That combination of legacy and forward thinking proves Nike’s 3D-printed future isn’t just hype—it’s the next Air Max revolution.
