Nike is marking the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 by reintroducing its iconic “Big Bubble” tooling. The latest reveal, the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Triple Black”, brings a stealthy, all-black aesthetic to the classic silhouette.
This modern iteration stays true to the original design, but with a subtle tweak to the Air units. Unlike the 1995 version, which utilized sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) for cushioning, today’s pairs use nitrogen for sustainability. While the vintage model showcased more pronounced Air units, the updated version integrates them seamlessly into the midsole.
The Triple Black Air Max 95 features a fully leather upper, blending smooth, safari, and snakeskin textures for added depth and dimension. The signature wavy panels remain intact, maintaining the shoe’s bold, layered aesthetic. A glossy black midsole houses the signature Air units, giving the sneaker a sleek and uniform finish.
The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble “Triple Black” is set to release in Summer 2025 at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. Stay tuned for official release and availability details.
