The Nike Air Max 90 “Yellow Plaid” keeps things mostly black and lets the collar shout out the seasonal statement. Plaid fabric overlays the ankle and heel in Yellow Ochre, black and white on pictures from Nike. The detail gives it a ripped out of your flannel shirt vibe without plastering the whole upper.

Black mesh handles the toe box, with suede across the quarter panels and a heavier nubuck mudguard running along the lower portion of the shoe. Those material changes keep the upper from looking flat, even with so much of it dressed in the same color.

Yellow Ochre appears again on the leather Swooshes, lower eyestays, tongue branding, Air Max windows, and Nike Air heel badges. Nike also brings the shade into the visible Air unit and parts of the outsole, so the plaid does not feel disconnected from the rest of the design.

A white midsole breaks up the dark upper and black tooling, while the outsole stays mostly black with Yellow Ochre rubber near the forefoot.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Yellow Plaid” is scheduled to release in Summer 2026 through Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers. Retail is set at $135.
