The Nike Air Max 90 “Black/Racer Pink” is back with a look that should feel familiar to longtime Air Max fans. Most of the shoe stays black, from the mesh base and overlays to the laces and lower tooling, while Racer Pink is worked into the midsole and smaller details across the upper.

The brighter color gives the pair a little of that classic “Infrared” or “Solar Red” feel without turning it into a direct copy of either one. White Swooshes break up the side panels, and the Air Max branding mixes white and pink. More Racer Pink shows up on the tongue labels, heel logos, insoles, and a few other spots.

The visible Air unit sits inside a black cassette, keeping the lower half of the shoe grounded instead of letting the pink take over. A black outsole finishes things off and keeps the overall palette pretty simple.

There is not much extra going on here, which suits the Air Max 90. The black base carries most of the design, while the pink and white hits give it enough contrast to stand apart.
