Denim covers a good chunk of this upcoming Air Max 90, and Nike keeps nearly everything else black around it.
Most of it sits around the toe and eyestays. White stitching runs through those sections, with a few unfinished edges left visible. Mesh is used on the toe box and collar, while black suede wraps the mudguard. The Swoosh, heel tab, and molded panels stay black as well.
The amount of denim used here also makes some of Levi’s sneaker projects hard to ignore. We’ve already seen the material play a big role on the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, and Air Max 95 collaborations, although this Air Max 90 isn’t connected to Levi’s.
Nike keeps the bottom half dark too. Both the midsole and outsole come in black, with the Air unit still visible in the heel. There’s a fabric label inside the shoe instead of the usual printed tag, and a red Nike Air hangtag adds a small break from all the black.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Black Denim” is expected to release in Fall 2026 for $145.
