Nike continues to push the boundaries of innovation with the introduction of the Air Max 1000, a cutting-edge silhouette crafted using advanced 3D-printing technology in collaboration with Zellerfeld. This futuristic model reimagines the iconic Air Max 1 while presenting a bold new interpretation of Nike’s renowned Air technology.
The Air Max 1000 is defined by its sculptural, laceless construction. Its 3D-printed upper combines smooth and textured finishes for a sleek yet dynamic aesthetic. Smooth areas accentuate the toebox and midfoot, while the textured sections—reminiscent of carbon fiber—adorn the throat, toe cap, and lower overlays. Minimal branding ensures the silhouette’s design takes center stage, featuring a subtle debossed Swoosh on the lateral side.
The standout feature of the AM 1000 is its transparent Air chamber in the heel, a nod to Nike’s heritage. Inspired by the “inside-out” architectural style of Paris’ Centre Georges Pompidou, the Air Max 1000 channels the ethos behind Tinker Hatfield’s original Air Max 1 concept into a cutting-edge design.
Initially revealed in a vibrant all-red iteration, Nike has now showcased four additional colorways—white, black, orange, and blue. Each option retains the bold design language while offering versatility to suit various tastes and styles.
Nike Air Max 1000 Release Details
The Nike Air Max 1000 will officially debut in Spring 2025. Fans can look forward to this innovative model launching at select Nike retailers, both in-store and online, including Nike.com.
