Nike Sportswear is slowly starting to add to their latest “Timeless” collection, which will now include the Air Max 1 that is a direct nod to Bruce Kilgore’s original Air Force 1 High, a design concept that Nike loves to reach in their own catalog to reference past models.
This offering of the Nike Air Max 1 arrives in a similar color blocking as the original 1982 Air Force 1 High (pictured above) as well as using a similar constructed build. It features an all-White upper with a mesh base and leather overlays along with Silver Grey Swooshes and “Nike Air” branded heels. The shoe even includes straps across the midfoot to further mimic the original’s ankle support. The “Timeless” theme continues with its traditional tongue and insole branding. A Sail midsole atop a White rubber outsole completes the design. The shoes come housed in special packaging referencing the Air Force 1.
