To celebrate the annual Puerto Rico Day, which takes place during June in the United States along Fifth Avenue in the Manhattan borough of New York City, Nike Sportswear will be releasing two Air Max 1 colorways for the occasion.
One pair comes dressed in “Blue Gale” and the other in a “Orange Frost” makeup paying homage to Puerto Rican frozen treats (helados) known as “piraguas” that come in flavors such as coco (coconut), parcha (passionfruit), and piña (pineapple).
Both Nike Air Max 1 styles come constructed in a mix of textile, leather, and suede material. Some of the key details includes Jewel Swooshes, “Puerto Rico” lace dubraes, special ice cream tongue labels, and “Puerto Rico” embroidered onto the right heels. They’ll also come housed in special packaging with customary towel for to further celebrate the annual day.
Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico 2023 Release Date
Look for the Nike Air Max 1 “Puerto Rico” Pack to begin releasing on June 6th at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com (SNKRS). The retail price tag is set at $140 USD each.
In other news, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” will be making another retro return in 2024.
