Nike Air Max 1 “Evolution Of Icons” Releasing On Air Max Day

Published on

Nike Air technology has been an integral part of Nike since making its way into footwear in late 1978. For the first eight years it was hidden, rather than seen. Then, in 1987, it became visible with the Nike Air Max. The revolution had begun, and quickly spread across all types of Nike footwear while becoming a coveted lifestyle product across the globe. After over 30 years, Air Max continues its evolution.

This offering of the Nike Air Max 1 is part of the “Evolution of Icons” collection that nods to past Air Maxes over the years (seen on the insoles). It comes constructed in a leather build with suede overlays along the back half of the mudguard. In celebration of Air Max Day, a debossed “3.26” appears on the left heel.
