To celebrate Air Max Day 2023, Nike allowed people in Japan to design their own Air Max 1. With the annual celebration approaching, the Nike Air Max 1 “Design By Japan” is getting ready for its retail debut.

This offering of the Nike Air Max 1 sports a mid of White, Green, and Orange tones nodding to the Nike Sting, an early running shoe from the late ’70s. It comes constructed in a mix of premium materials such as mesh, leather, and suede while having a vintage aesthetic shown on the tongues, laces and midsole. The shoe also comes with special Gold Air Max 1 hangtags, retro tongue branding, and special graphic insoles.
