For a fresh take, this latest Nike Air Max 1 arrives with inverted color blocking compared to the original and three different sets of laces so you can style it your way. The woven tongue features a patch with 13 stars around the “NIKE AIR” logo and an American flag is proudly showcased on the heel.

Nike Air Max 1 4th of July Release Date

Look for the Nike Air Max 1 “4th of July” to release on July 1st at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $140 USD.

UPDATE: Originally set to release on July 1st, the “4th of July” Air Max 1 were canceled after Colin Kaepernick reached out to Nike after images surfaced, telling the brand that he and others found the design to be offensive due to the Betsy Ross flag’s connection to a time in history when slavery still existed.
