Going darker for Fall 2026, the Nike Air Liquid Max “Black Metallic” pairs reflective details with a full-length cushioning setup that gives the shoe its bold look.

The upper starts with black mesh, overlapped with soft materials that form the eyestays and side panels. Pure Platinum accents form thin stripes across the mudguard and heel tab in an undulating shape. This detail brings dynamism to the shoe, even when viewed in a static side profile. Metallic Silver Swooshes and tongue stamping prevent the darker tones from overpowering the design.

Light Army Coloring is used throughout the sculpted midsole and molded heel cushion, which features vertical Air Max branding towards the back. The neutral green tone also separates the upper from the bright foam system underneath.

Underfoot is where the Liquid Max looks unlike anything else in Nike’s current Air Max lineup. A full-length series of rounded, orange-tinted pods runs from heel to toe, creating a fluid, almost bubbled appearance. The translucent outsole leaves much of that structure visible, with strategically placed black rubber sections handling traction.

The Nike Air Liquid Max “Black Metallic” comes dressed in Black, Light Army, Pure Platinum, and Metallic Silver. Look for the pair to release during Summer/Fall 2026 through Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers for $220.
