The Nike Air Force 1 Low “What The LA” is expected to return for Holiday 2026, bringing back one of Nike’s more memorable city-themed releases from the late 2010s.
First launched in 2019 alongside the “What The NYC”, the Los Angeles pair used the “What The” idea in a different way. Rather than pulling pieces from earlier sneakers, Nike built the colorway around LA sports culture, blending shades and materials connected to several of the city’s biggest teams.
The Lakers come to mind instantly with purple and gold, while the Dodgers and Kings are suggested by blue, red, black, and metallic touches. The clash results in each shoe having its own identity, thanks to details like suede and leather, glossy overlays, contrast Swooshes and splattered midsoles.
Los Angeles script appears near the heels and across the insoles, tying the design together without using official team branding. That approach helped the original release feel broader than a single-team tribute, touching basketball, baseball, hockey, and the city’s streetwear identity in one Air Force 1.
According to Sneaker Market RO, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “What The LA” is expected to return during Holiday 2026. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price tag is set at $125 USD.
