A pink-sneaker wearing subject is wanted in connection with an early-morning convenience store robbery in La Vergne.

Around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Kangaroo Market at 5022 Murfreesboro Rd. in La Vergne was held up by a male using a black handgun, the La Vergne Police Department said in a press release.

The suspect was wearing pink sneakers, possibly Nike “foamposites.” The black male may be in his late teens or early 20s, has a slim build and is approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and black and pink shoes.

The suspect fled on foot with a handful of cigarillos, four packs of Newport cigarettes, and an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported, according to the press release.
