Nike is bringing the Air Foamposite One back for its 30th anniversary with a special colorway expected to arrive in Summer 2027.
The model debuted in 1997 with a design that looked nothing like the leather basketball shoes during its era. Eric Avar built the shoe around a molded Foamposite shell, which gave it the hard, sculpted upper that would eventually become its signature. Penny Hardaway’s connection to the silhouette also helped it grow beyond performance basketball, especially during his years with the Orlando Magic.
Nike’s 30th anniversary edition comes in White, Black, Game Royal, and Metallic Silver. The White Foamposite shell features stars across the upper, with reflective 3M detailing worked into the pattern. Black covers parts of the trim and outsole, while Game Royal accents bring in the Orlando-inspired colors closely associated with Penny.
Nike Air Foamposite One 30th Anniversary Release Date
The Nike Air Foamposite One “30th Anniversary” is expected to release during Summer 2027 through Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers. The retail price is set at $230.
