Nike is bringing back the Air Flight 89 in Fall 2025, and retro basketball heads are drooling over the return.

The Flight 89 originally came to life in the late ‘80s, and it was well-known for being an Air Jordan 4 cousin. The family resemblance was no accident, and sneakerheads who sought a “Jordan quality” design without a silhouette they’d seen a million times were all over the sneaker.

This new release sticks to the formula. A slick white leather upper is complemented by forest green overlays for the Swoosh, piping, midsole, and outsole. Perforations on the toe box and quarters add breathability, and the visible Air cushioning in the heel provides a modern comfort boost. The sail-tinted midsole also complements the design, and its slight aged look fits the retro mold perfectly.
