Another Air Diamond Turf 2 is on the way this fall as Deion Sanders’ signature line continues its run of retro releases. This pair goes with a mostly black look, using glossy patent leather across the upper with red worked into the smaller details.
Patent black covers much of the upper, including the large overlays that wrap around the sides. The same glossy finish continues onto the midfoot strap, one of the main details that separates the Air Diamond Turf 2 from other trainers of its era. Black also carries down into the midsole, leaving the brighter colors to break things up.
Gym Red appears around the branding, heel, pull tabs, and other smaller parts of the shoe. Metallic Gold is used more sparingly, adding another color without taking much away from the mostly black build.

The patent finish makes sense on a shoe connected to Sanders, whose Prime Time years were as much about his personality and style as what he did on the field. Black and red also give this pair some of the look of the cars and clothing he was known for at the time. Underneath all of that, the DT 2 still has its familiar heavy tooling, layered panels, and strapped construction from the original cross-training era.
