Nike blends performance and style once again with the ACG Ultrafly 2. After the Pegasus Premium’s success, this trail-ready sneaker is next in line. Whether you’re a runner or a gorp-core fan, this shoe delivers.
Building on the Ultrafly 1, this version introduces a new ridged design. Its textured upper resembles a topographic map, adding to its rugged appeal. The oversized Swoosh now extends into the midsole, making a bold statement. Meanwhile, ACG branding appears on the tongue, reinforcing its outdoor-ready identity.
First seen on ultramarathoner Caleb Olsen, this model stays true to its roots. It retains ZoomX foam and a carbon Flyplate for energy return and stability. However, the biggest improvement is the Vibram outsole, which enhances grip and durability. This upgrade addresses a key weakness of its predecessor.
Interestingly, early samples featured Nike Trail branding instead of ACG. This detail suggests Nike made last-minute changes before finalizing the design. While an official release date is unknown, wear-test pairs suggest a launch is near.
Expect the Nike ACG Ultrafly 2 to drop likely in Summer 2025 at select retailers. Stay tuned for updates on Nike.com and official release details.
