Japanese fashion designer, Nigo, known as the creator of urban clothing line A Bathing Ape and Human Made and currently serves as artistic creative director for Kenzo, marked a deal with Nike with products set to release in 2024 according to Brendan Dunne for Complex.

Nigo, who also worked with adidas over the past 20 years, has officially chosen checks over stripes. He’s best known for designing the Bape Sta, an Air Force 1-inspired model, in the early 2000s that produced many general releases as well as exclusive colorways. He founded the streetwear brand in 1993, but ended up selling Bape to a Hong Kong-based fashion conglomerate I.T Group in 2011 for about $2.8 milling. He officially left the brand in 2013.

While still in early stages, you can expect to see a Nigo x Nike sneaker collaboration and possibly apparel to release in 2014. Stay tuned for more updates to develop.
