The New Balance P400 “Afterglow” brings one of the boldest basketball looks New Balance has lined up this spring. Dressed in a striking neon yellow finish, the shoe leans fully into visibility and speed, giving the performance model a loud presence that feels right at home on the court. It is a sharp, modern design, but the color does most of the talking from the first glance.

A lightweight mesh upper keeps the build breathable, while black dotted detailing runs across the toe, forefoot, and side panels to create contrast throughout the bright base. Tonal overlays wrap the mudguard, eyestays, collar, and heel, helping the shoe keep a smooth, unified shape. The oversized “N” logo blends into the side panel instead of overpowering the design, which gives the P400 a cleaner finish than expected from such a vibrant colorway.

Balanced out by black laces and black tongue that slice through the neon upper, keeping everything tidy. White branding overlays the tongue for a pop of crispiness up top. White is used down low as well on the interior lining, sculpted windows on the midsole, and sections of the outsole to break up all of the vivid green happening below. Red accents around the heel tab and on the insole provide just enough additional color to round the sneaker out without distracting from the main theme.

The New Balance P400 “Afterglow” will be available April 15, 2026 retailing for $130 through NewBalance.com and select retailers.
