Energy around New Balance’s Made in USA line has been picking up lately, with newer drops leaning further into color while still staying recognizable. That same shift carries over here, as the New Balance 993 “Passion Fruit” shows up with a brighter feel that doesn’t lose touch with the model’s usual identity.

The upper starts with pink mesh, then gets layered with deeper purple suede around the mudguard and heel. That change in tone adds dimension without making things look crowded. A yellow “N” logo brings a noticeable pop, while the oval “USA” hit on the heel keeps the focus on its domestic roots.

Underneath, the cream ABZORB midsole gives off a slightly aged look that helps tone everything down. Black and purple hits on the outsole keep it practical while tying back into the upper. The build itself doesn’t change much, but the color choice makes it feel different in a good way.

It’s another example of New Balance opening things up visually while still holding onto what made the line consistent.
