New Balance 750 Tennis Shoe Returns With Retro Tennis Style

Published on

New Balance is using the 750 name again, this time for a lifestyle shoe that pulls from tennis sneakers of the 1970s and ’80s. It is not the first 750 in the brand’s catalog, as the name has appeared on both running and court models before, but this version is aimed more at everyday wear.

Most of the upper is done in canvas, with extra panels around the toe and heel and the usual “N” branding along the sides. A leather backtab adds a little contrast, though the overall shape stays close to the kind of simple court shoes that inspired it.

The thicker sole gives the New Balance 750 a much different feel from a straight retro tennis model. It has a chunkier, almost platform-like profile, while herringbone traction on the outsole keeps that court connection underneath.

Outfield/Angora is one of the first colorways, pairing purple with lighter neutral tones. More releases are expected during Fall 2026, including a white and navy version.

The New Balance 750 Tennis Shoe releases August 21, 2026 for $100. Grab a pair here through NewBalance.com.
