After its original run back in 1989, the 550 was filed away in the archives, before being reintroduced in limited-edition releases in late 2020, and returned to the full-time lineup in 2021. While the demand has slowed down a bit, the shoe is still a global fashion favorite. To kick off the month of June, New Balance will be releasing a new “Black Canvas” colorway.

Dressed in a simple two-tone Black and White color scheme. This offering of the New Balance 550 comes constructed with a heavy-duty design featuring a canvas and suede upper. Tonal tongue labels, White “550” and “NB” embroidery on the lateral forefoot and heels, respectively, atop a solid White rubber sole completes the design.
