New Balance has yet another minimalist sneaker primed for Summer 2026 with the 2010 “Harbor Grey.” Retailing at $145 USD, the release will drop through NewBalance.com and select retailers.
The New Balance 2010 “Harbor Grey” keeps the color scheme muted, but the mix of materials help the shoe steer clear of appearing dull. Open mesh makes up the toe box, midfoot, and heel of the upper providing the sneakerish base. Sections of hairy suede overlays the mesh with a softer finish. Smooth synthetics wrap the eyelets and sides of the shoe for some contrasting structure.
Grey tones run through the laces, tongue, “N” logo, mudguard, and boldly sculpted midsole. New Balance even tones down the branding on this sneaker and lets it mesh with the upper rather than popping. Cream sole lining on the collar is the only departure from monochrome hue and offers a hint of warmth around the ankle.
A bulky midsole helps position the 2010 closer to New Balance’s performance runner offerings. Placed on black rubber, this sneaker has the most contrast offering its tiniest bits of off-white traction nodding back to the collar.
What works for pair is how it relies on silhouette and material rather than color. Mesh, suede, and layering are what we’ve come to expect from a New Balance lifestyle sneaker but an all-grey palette helps make it effortlessly wearable.
You can cop the New Balance 2010 “Harbor Grey” Summer 2026 via NewBalance.com and select retailers for $145.
