Grey suede tops nearly the entire New Balance 2010 “Grey/Blue,” covering the toe box, eyestays, collar, and heel over black mesh. Panels of royal blue sit underneath those features, extending through the forefoot, midfoot, and rearsole to provide more color punch than your typical grey-toned NB runner.

Detailing includes reflective silver “N” logos on both sides finished with bright blue accents. Blue reappears on the tongue print, heel labels, and insole prints while white rope laces and light interior lining help brighten the shoe’s upper. The combination of suede, mesh, and synthetic materials work with the model’s layered aesthetic reminiscent of late-2000s running sneakers.

An off-white ABZORB midsole does the heavy lifting underneath. Pieces of translucent blue ABZORB cushioning peek through at the heel, sitting on top of a dark blue midsole support pod. New Balance sticks to black rubber outsoles, using smaller blue details worked into the underside of the outsole’s traction pattern and brand markings.
