The New Balance 1890 “Black/Silver” is expected to arrive in Fall 2026, putting the newer model in one of its darker looks so far.
The upper is built with black mesh and synthetic overlays, with silver reflective piping worked through the curved lines along the sides. That same silver trim also outlines the oversized “N” logos. Small “1890” branding appears near the heel, while the rest of the shoe stays mostly black.
There is some older New Balance DNA in the build too. The 1890 uses the original 2002 sole unit with full-length SBS ABZORB cushioning. Up top, the flowing no-sew pattern takes cues from the 890v3. A black segmented midsole and rubber outsole keep the darker theme going underfoot.
