Mowalola is releasing her first Jordan Brand collection this month, led by two different takes on the Air Jordan 14 along with a small range of matching apparel.

The Lagos-born, London-based designer built her name through fashion that pulls from music, Nigerian culture, leatherwork, and bold styling. Her career started gaining attention after her 2017 Central Saint Martins graduate collection, followed by appearances at London Fashion Week, a role with Yeezy Gap, and collaborations with brands including New Balance and Ksubi.

Her main Air Jordan 14 comes in chocolate brown leather with a laser-etched tartan pattern across the upper. The process gives the leather slight differences from pair to pair, so each shoe will have its own look. Mowalola’s signature is also etched directly into the leather instead of being added with stitching or print.

A second pair turns the Air Jordan 14 into a backless mule. The dark grey design uses black and metallic silver details, with an embossed Mowalola logo replacing the signature treatment found on the regular AJ14. Mowalola said the mule made sense for the collection because she does not usually wear traditional sneakers or high-tops herself.

Both pairs were shown publicly during Mowalola’s Paris Fashion Week pop-up. The collection also comes with custom packaging featuring her silhouette across the lid, along with apparel built around the same tartan theme. Pieces shown so far include a matching tracksuit with a red stripe and silver “23” branding, a perforated red leather collared top, black leather shorts, and women’s tank tops.

Mowalola Air Jordan 14 Release Date

The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Collection will release first on September 19, 2026, through Mowalola’s website. A wider release will follow on September 26 at select retailers. The campaign was photographed by Norbert Schoerner and features Alek Wek, Chxrry, Tezzus, Pz’, and others.
