Mark Wahlberg has a tight relationship with Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand. Remember when Mark Wahlberg took MJ out to launch and even paid for it?
In last night’s episode of A&E’s Wahlburgers, titled “Do the Hustle,” Mark Wahlberg received two pairs of Air Jordan 1 “Wahlburgers” designed for his family restaurant. The only thing was, he had to pitch the idea to his brother Paul, the chef of the family, to have the entire staff wear these “Wahlburgers” Air Jordans.
Each Air Jordan 1 was dressed in the Wahlburgers colors, both having the Wahlburgers logo on each tongue. But due to lack of grip on the sole and having the shoes not pass the OSHA regulations, they weren’t able to have the staff rock some exclusive Air Jordans. Therefore, both Mark and Donnie decided to keep them for themselves.
The two Air Jordan 1 “Wahlburgers” colorways do indeed appear to be a special custom design for the Wahlbergs, and doesn’t look to be something Jordan Brand plans to put out.
