To start, the Kobe 4 was the first to be low, which had many basketball players weary because they were afraid to roll their ankle. However, Kobe reassured fans and followers to not worry because soccer players play in low cleats while making hard cuts and turns. The Kobe 5 and 6 were both low cut with distinct changes in design between the two. The Kobe 6 was a huge hit amongst #sneakerheads and basketball players. Additionally, the Kobe 6 dropped in many different colorways. Anyone remember the “Grinch’s”?

The Kobe 7 is low and includes a special system. Similar to the Jordan 2011, the system includes two removable inserts with different cushioning that you can use based on your style of play.

Attack Fast Insert (low-cut attack fast insert)

  • Nike Zoom units in heel and forefoot for cushioning
  • Flywire for support and comfort
  • Power stretch forefoot strap for a snug fit and faster feel

Attack Strong Insert (high-top attack strong insert)

  • High-top ankle cuff for comfortable ride and support
  • Cushon midsole for comfort and protection
  • 3-D heel clip for lockdown
