Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are celebrating 15 years together with something neither side has done before. The New Balance 2011 is an entirely new silhouette designed for Kith’s anniversary, bringing a fresh model into the brand’s running-inspired catalog rather than revisiting another established favorite.

The project carries more weight than a standard Kith colorway. Fieg has worked across more than 30 New Balance silhouettes since the partnership began, but the 2011 is the first model he has helped create from the ground up. Its name points back to 2011, the year Kith opened its doors.

Development began two years ago with Fieg and New Balance designer Sam Pearce, whose previous work includes the 991v2. Their approach blends the dense paneling and premium construction associated with New Balance’s heritage runners with a shape that feels current. Underfoot, the shoe borrows the ABZORB-cushioned tooling from the original New Balance 2002.

Four colorways divide the collection into two material stories. Bark and Redwood feature premium boot leather, tonal canvas underlays, and stitched details modeled after tree rings. Leaf and Sakura introduce more contrast through micro-pinched underlays and pigskin suede overlays.

The nature theme extends beyond the shoes. Watercolor artwork on the packaging follows a young Ronnie planting a seed, caring for it, and watching it grow into a tree, a visual reference to Kith’s expansion over the past 15 years. Custom printed insoles and three additional lace options come with each pair.

A matching Kith x New Balance apparel range rounds out the anniversary project with reworked technical jackets, shorts, mesh jerseys, headwear, and accessories. The collection also helps introduce New Balance at Kith, a dedicated retail space opening inside the lower level of Kith West Hollywood.

The new shop will carry men’s and women’s New Balance apparel, Kith collaborations, Japanese menswear, and a footwear wall holding more than 200 men’s, women’s, and kids’ styles. Exclusive 99X colorways, Made in USA releases, and New Balance Grey products will also be part of the assortment.

All four KITH x New Balance 2011 colorways will release first at New Balance at Kith in West Hollywood on June 26. Bark and Redwood will remain exclusive to that location and will not be offered online or through other Kith stores.

Leaf and Sakura will receive a wider launch on June 29 alongside the apparel and accessories collection. The two colorways will be available at Kith stores in the United States, Kith Toronto, and online through Kith at 11 AM in each respective region.
