Kiko Kostadinov is back with ASICS, bringing his signature edge to the GEL-Kinetic Fluent ahead of Summer 2025. Known for pushing form and function, the London-based designer strips down the original and rebuilds it with a fresh identity.

Gone is the typical mesh forefoot. In its place: smooth leather wrapping the lateral side, doubling as the eyestay. It gives the shoe a more structured look-clean, sculptural, and unmistakably Kiko.

The ASICS stripes fade into the background, replaced by a translucent TPU layer resting over lightweight mesh. It’s a subtle shift, but it modernizes the upper while keeping airflow in check.

Another small but smart detail? The tongue’s pull tab is off-center, nodding to Kostadinov’s ongoing interest in asymmetry and unconventional design choices.

ASICS plays it safe underfoot, keeping the GEL midsole intact. That means the ride stays just as comfortable—even with the upper’s new twist.
