Targeting the new colorway, West criticized the design, deeming non-approved versions of the iconic 350 silhouette as “corny.” Expressing frustration, he cited financial implications, alleging adidas sells counterfeit Yeezys and sued him for $250 million while withholding payments.

In an official statement, West urged supporters to avoid unauthorized Yeezys, stressing his non-involvement and legal battles with adidas. He contrasted public outrage over trivial matters with silence on profound issues within the industry.

Despite the uproar, adidas stands firm, intending to release the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Steel Grey” exclusively via the adidas Confirmed app. The draw ends on February 29, 2024, priced at $230 USD. Consumers grapple with brand loyalty, creative ownership, and corporate conflicts in sneaker culture’s evolving landscape.

Amidst challenges, the Yeezy brand’s future teeters between artistic integrity and corporate sway. Whether reconciliation or escalation awaits remains uncertain, leaving fans and observers eager for the next Yeezy saga chapter.
