Jordan Brand isn’t changing the Spizike Low much for its new Utility edition, at least from a distance. Most of the difference comes down to materials, with ballistic nylon taking over much of the upper in place of the suede and leather normally used on the shoe.

More protection comes around the bottom of the shoe, where the standard mudguard has been replaced by a rubber-like shield. It wraps around areas that are more likely to get hit with rain, slush, and wet pavement, giving the Spizike Low a more rugged setup without turning it into a completely different sneaker.

The first Jordan Spizike Low Utility comes dressed in Spruce Fog and Black. The muted colors fit naturally with the heavier construction, while the model’s mix of classic Air Jordan design details remains easy to recognize.
