Jordan Brand is getting into gym equipment with a new strength-training collection made through Nike Strength. The lineup covers everything from weights and bars to benches and smaller accessories, with plenty of Jordan details worked into the designs.

Weight training became a bigger part of Michael Jordan’s routine after years of dealing with the Detroit Pistons and their physical style of defense. By the end of the 1980s, Jordan knew he needed more strength to handle that punishment. At the same time, he didn’t want added muscle to take away from his speed, movement, or jumping ability.
The Jordan Strength collection includes about a dozen different pieces for home and commercial gym setups. There are adjustable benches, a half rack, barbells, curl bars, bumper plates, change plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, and a plyo box. Collars, J-Cups, storage shelves, and other smaller accessories round out the lineup.
A lot of the equipment also borrows details from familiar Air Jordans. Elephant print from the Air Jordan 3 shows up on dumbbells and plates, while some of the larger equipment uses patterns pulled from the Air Jordan 7 outsole. The plyo box is designed like a Jordan shoebox. Other pieces feature the number 23, Chicago Bulls championship years, and details connected to the Air Jordan 4.
The Jordan Strength collection releases October 13 through Nike Strength and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Prices start at about $25 for smaller accessories and go up to $1,750 for the half rack.
