When it comes to Jordan Brand one thing they try to do their best at is keep things under wraps with their upcoming releases. Specially if it’s a special edition pair like the Air Jordan 6 “First Championship” that was finally unveiled.
Today, Jordan Brand finally addressed release details of the Air Jordan 6 “First Championship” as their Social Media outlets flooded with questions. For those that don’t know those Jordan 6s was a special project designed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. However, they put out a statement on their Twitter saying:
FYI: The ‘White/Red-Dark Blue’ AJ6 was a special project that we do not currently have plans to release.

From sources close to this story, we’re told that this release is taking place in Brazil later this month. There were also reports of a limited release set to debut in the states this Fall/Winter 2014. But now it looks like those reports could possibly be dead, but I wouldn’t always turn the page on these just yet as we’ve seen Jordan Brand shut down a release before but months later the shoe ended up releasing – due to the demand for them.
Could this be a marketing strategy from Jordan Brand to create more HYPE for the shoe? Or do you really think this release is completely dead here in the states? Sound off in the comment section below and we’ll keep you updated with all the latest as things develop.
