Following last year’s “No Emotions Are Emotions” collab, Joe Freshgoods and New Balance are teaming up once again to release a special edition 990v3 dubbed “Outside Clothes” inspired by the west side of Chicago-native’s personal life growing up throughout the 1990s.

This offering of the New Balance 990v3 features a Blue mesh base with Brown suede overlays. Blue is also used on the signature “N” branding on the side, while pops of Green further liven up the shoe on the additional branding and select details on the top eyelets. Joe Freshgoods’ name is stamped at the rear completed with a midsole equipped with ABZORB technology.

Look for the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v3 “Outside Clothes” to release on August 5th exclusively in Chicago followed by a wider release on August 17th via raffle and global release on September 10th via NewBalance.com. The retail price tag is set at $220 USD.

“I didn’t realize until last year how much the act of being outside had played a major part in my career,” said Joe “Freshgoods” Robinson. “Sometimes it takes something being taken away from you to realize what it means to you. And that’s really what inspired this shoe. To me, being told you smell like outside represents the early stages of what fun meant. From neighborhood block parties to hanging on the porch all day with your homies, you knew you had a wild day when your mom said you smelled like outside.”

UPDATE 8/15: Following an exclusive release in Chicago, Joe Freshgoods is releasing his latest New Balance 990v3 “Outside Clothes” collab via raffle. The raffle is open now and closes on August 15th at 5PM CT. Winners will be notified on August 17th.
