Jalen Hurts Officially Signs With Jordan Brand

Published on

Philadelphia Eagles’ standout, Jalen Hurts, has officially teamed up with Jordan Brand as their endorsed quarterback. Throughout the 2022 NFL season, Hurts sported the Jumpman logo on his cleats in all 18 games, including two pairs during Super Bowl LVII. Heading into the 2023 season, he is now an official member of the Jordan Brand.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Hurts stated, “I’m grateful to join Jordan Brand. Like the Jumpman, I’m dedicated to goals, excellence, and inspiring the next generation.”

This partnership solidifies Hurts’ place among NFL players endorsed by Air Jordan since Randy Moss in 1999. Moss, the sole football player with a Jordan signature shoe, paved the way for NFL quarterbacks.

In 2001, Eagles’ Donovan McNabb was the first quarterback to sign with Jordan Brand. Other quarterback endorsers include Michael Vick, whose 2002 game-worn Air Jordans are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame; Dak Prescott, who signed a five-year deal in 2021; and rookie Bryce Young, picked first in the 2023 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers.

“I’m proud to represent Team Jordan,” Hurts added.

This deal positions Hurts among the exclusive group of over a dozen NFL players on Jordan Brand’s annual roster. Notable members include Davante Adams, Cameron Jordan, and Deebo Samuel, with Sarah Mensah, the first Black woman as Jordan Brand president.

The big question now: could Hurts become the second NFL player in history, after Moss, to have his own Jordan signature shoe? Only time will tell.
