The Air Force 1 is stepping into Nike SB territory for Holiday 2026, and skate shops are playing a major role in the rollout. Four stores from different parts of the world are expected to receive their own take on the SB version of the model, borrowing the regional spirit of the old “Color of the Month” releases.

Retailers around Baltimore and the wider DMV helped keep the shoe in circulation by backing exclusive colorways at a time when Nike was close to moving on from it. Those releases eventually became part of the model’s identity, and the same shop-driven setup is now being revisited through Nike SB.

Instant Skateboards is among the first collaborators to surface. Based in Shibuya, the longtime Japanese shop has dressed its pair in black suede from front to back, giving the Air Force 1 a softer look that fits naturally within the skate line.

Blue covers the Swoosh and heel tab, with matching branding placed around the back of the shoe. The color pairing brings the old “J-Pack” Dunk releases to mind, though the design stops short of being a direct copy.

The Instant Skateboards x Nike SB Air Force 1 is expected to release during Holiday 2026 through Instant Skateboards, select skate shops, and Nike.com. The retail price is set at $120.
